  • We like to group students in groups of 6, but may have up to 8 students in one class. This allows us to provide every student with the attention and support they need to flourish at Bayside Performing Arts!

  • Bayside Performing Arts does not follow any strict uniform restrictions. Please attend class in the clothes are most comfortable for you to wear and move around in!

  • No previous performing arts experience is needed. It brings us joy to introduce students to our program, especially for the first time and to see their progress throughout our classes.

  • We want students to stay healthy whilst in our care, so we ask they bring a water bottle along to class - let's stay hydrated! Any relevant medications such as an asthma puffer or EpiPen are also required. Students may like to bring along comfort items from home, please know these are welcome and celebrated in our classes.

  • Absolutely, our belief is every person should have access to quality performing arts education, despite any communication barriers. We work to integrate all communication devices and relevant strategies into our program in every way we can.

  • Our Kids & Carer program is especially designed for students to participate with a guardian or support worker. In the rest of our programs, our students are working towards independence. This may look different for each student. Some students may have their guardian in the room during the whole class, some may commence the class with their guardian sitting next to them, some may be dropped off to class and picked up when they're finished. We understand the unique needs of each student and look forward to working with each student to find what works best for them!

  • Yes. Both our physical location & class format are accessible and provide mobility adaptations for students using wheelchairs. When entering our venue, you will find yourself in a ground-level accessibility playground which includes a wheelchair swing amongst more playground equipment. During class, our teacher or assistant will adapt our exercises to the abilities of each student.

  • Invoices are emailed to you at the start of each term, with each class costing $30. We first offer every student a free trial class. You have the opportunity to give the program a go and experience the fun, before saying yes to a full term!

  • We understand the transition into a new class can be challenging. We want to parter with your family to make this season as smooth as possible — and this means we sometimes can offer you an additional trial class. If you think your student would benefit from this, please come chat to us!

  • Trial classes are free of charge. We love to give each student the opportunity to explore and participate in performing arts! Simply fill out an online enrolment form and select “trial”. We can’t wait to see you there!

  • Of course! Students are most welcome and will only be charged accordingly for the remaining duration of the term.
